      Hamilton Model-22 Marine Chronometer
This Hamilton Model 22 ships chronometer was produced in
1942 for  ships. Hamilton used a large size 35 movement
with 21 jewels. The clock was adjusted to resist changes in
the environment. A full gimbal mount insured the watch was
in the "level" position regardless of the rough seas. The
series of pictures show the various stages of it's protection
and access.
This is a complete and near mint offering of an incredibly
historic ships chronometer. It even has the original key to
keep it safely locked away.
Fully cased and locked down
Unstrapped and the outer case is up.
Inner case is opened. Notice the clock
is viewable but not accessible.
The key has been inserted and full
access is now achievable. The clock
can now be set and or wound before
being safely locked away.
Here is  the internal case which houses
the clock. Notice the two openings.
Neat dial and configuration. The top
sub dial records the elapsed time
since the last winding.
